The Dragon Tee

Inspired by the legendary encounter between Confucius and Laozi, this piece embodies wisdom, humility, and the pursuit of knowledge. A dragon rising through wind and clouds becomes a symbol of wisdom beyond measure.

THE STORY

猶龍之嘆 refers to Confucius’s admiration for Laozi after seeking his guidance on ritual. Confucius is said to have likened Laozi to a dragon — profound and unfathomable, transcending the ordinary.

This artwork draws on that encounter, with the dragon taking shape as the character 道 (Tao), representing the Way: a path of wisdom, discovery, and lifelong learning.
